I keep writing posts and saving them as drafts. Can't seem to collect my thoughts this August.
Oh, here's a thought: the Carl Zeiss Planar T 50mm f/1.4 for Canon is a lovely lens. The rental period was too, too brief, and I miss it already. I thought I would hate the fact it only focused manually, but in the right situation you don't miss it, and having to only and ever manually focus improves your concentration anyway. I focus slowly, so this is not the lens to carry when there are action shots to pursue, but if you're in no particular hurry, it's a wonderful walkaround lens. I love the way it resolves the out of focus areas.
Drafts feel like that leaf after being kept in the drawer for a while, but will as the leaf, if kept long enough, provide nutrition for new. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful that you have places where you can rent photo equipment. I don't think there is such a market here in Sweden. I would have rented a Leica M8 if possible, to try it out and see if it's magic as many says.
