Winter doldrums.

It's been a bit snowy here lately...

This is one of perhaps only about 6 images I've taken since the beginning of the new year. Looking forward to a Spring thaw.

I've got some half-baked blog post drafts from a few months back that have Spring-like images attached to them. I'll see if I can't dust them off and finish them up, get this blog back into gear again.

  1. I've been dusting off some older springtime shots myself but probably more so to prove to myself that yes, spring will come. It's been such a wintery winter. I shouldn't complain for I haven't gotten all that snow you have had to deal with. But I don't remember such a dull, lumpy gray winter. I feel like I'm living up north again, and not in the sweet sunny South.

I do like this image and the others I've seen...they remind me of glass shattering, or maybe ice...

  2. Thanks, Rachel. I've been experimenting with overexposure and defocus/movement for a while now, but this time with all the snow the overexposure just came naturally - no need to force the issue. I do like what I got very much, but maybe not so much that I wish I had weather like this all the time for my photographic experimentation. :)
